Artistic Director

William More read music at the RSM receiving a scholarship from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and recently awarded a postgraduate diploma in music. He has also completed courses at the University of Oxford in the study of J.S.Bach where he was commended by Professor Laurence Dreyfus, and a professional development choral conducting course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RSAMD) under Timothy Dean.

As a chorister he has sung with the Choir of St. Peter's Basilica, The St. Cecilia Choir, The RSNO Chorus, Glasgow Chamber Choir and with the University of Strathclyde Chamber Choir. Having performed in Russia, Israel, Palestine, Switzerland, France, Italy, London, Chester Cathedral, Durham Cathedral, York Minster and Lincoln Cathedral. He has also performed the solo role of 'Peter' in the British premiere of Fredrick Sixten's, 'A Swedish St. Mark Passion' with the composer present.

William has been Organist and Choirmaster for several churches and is currently Organist & Director of Music for St. Mary's, Greenock. He has previously held posts as organist for Inverclyde Council, Diocese of Paisley and has fulfilled an organ residency at the Brompton Oratory, London.

He is a great supporter of early music as a Fellow of the Academy of Saint Cecilia, and a member of the RSNO Circle. He has conducted ensembles such as The Elysian Consort and The Oratory Choir, London, and the Pontifical Gregorian University Choir, Rome. He has also acted as a chorus tutor and casting advisor for Opera Bohemia for their productions of La Boheme and Madame Butterfly. William is currently Choral Director for the Edinburgh Early Music Choir, Music Director of The Erskine Stewart's Melville Community Choir and Associate Conductor of Strathclyde University Chamber Choir.

William is also the Founder and Artistic Director of Strathclyde Harmonia.
